Project Management Intern Opportunity at Artfundi

Artfundi is looking for a dynamic and self-driven Project Management Intern to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within a rapidly evolving environment. You’ll have the chance to manage and contribute to projects that shape the future of the art tech industry.


The opportunity is for a 6 month paid internship, leading to a full time position. Artfundi is a fully remote company, but there will be a need to meet with clients in person from time to time.


Location Gauteng, South Africa ONLY.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Project Management or Agile Certification or Qualification

Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

Knowledge of project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana)


Entrepreneurial Mindset:

Ability to think innovatively and creatively to solve problems

Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty; adept at turning challenges into opportunities

Understanding of startup environments or leading new initiatives within larger organizations


Leadership and Team Management:

Strong leadership skills to motivate, guide, and manage cross-functional autonomous teams

Understanding of building high-performance teams, and conflict resolution

Capability to lead by example and inspire team members towards a common vision


Strategic Thinking:

Ability to align business strategy with project goals

Skills in market analysis, competitive analysis, and identifying strategic opportunities

Predictive planning and forward-thinking to anticipate future trends and adapt accordingly


Communication and Stakeholder Management:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement

Ability to negotiate, persuade, and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders

Proficiency in presenting complex information in an understandable manner


Risk Management:

Capability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects

Understanding contingency planning and decision-making under pressure


Financial Acumen:

Understanding of budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation

Knowledge of managing project finances, including cost control and profitability analysis


Adaptability and Learning Agility:

Quick learner, able to adapt to new technologies, markets, and methodologies

Continuous learner, staying updated with industry trends and new techniques

Willingness to learn and be coached


Educational Background:

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Additional certifications like Agile PM certification, Agile certifications will be advantageous
